Farm & Food Journalist
I write about Midwestern life, agricultural policy + politics, horticulture and global food systems for print and digital publications. I also develop communication solutions for extension scientists.
I grew up working in vegetable fields in Northern Ohio, managed greenhouses and honed my skills as a landscape designer. A product of public education and career-tech pathways, my perspective is shaped by time spent in plant breeding labs, drafting legislation in state legislatures and studying environmental law.
Ohio is home. New York brought me to Cornell University. Washington, D.C., features often in my reporting, and Austria became a second home—followed by a dozen other countries where I’ve traveled and written.
Currently completing a B.S. in Agricultural Science (Policy Analysis), with minors in Horticulture and Public Policy. May 2026 graduation. Affiliated student: Ithaca College and Life Sciences School of Vienna, Austria.
Contributing writer for AgDaily, Farm & Dairy, Ohio Country Journal, Offrange, Cornell Daily Sun, Cornell Chronicle, Toledo Blade, Springfield Hub, Melk de Langs and Agri-Pulse Communications.
Where my curiosity lives: controlled environment agriculture, land-grant universities, EU agri-food policies, turfgrass, farm economy, The Great Lakes, Ohio politics, agriculture geography, intensive farming and environmental law.
